This will be a compilation of the minutes and reflections made at the AGM on 6. Feb. 2017.

17 residents, 2 SNT officers, 3 THH officers attended the meeting.

Anti-social behavior

Tracey Barret, THH anti-social behavior officer and Sgt. Mehmet Ulusoy from SNT, spoke about problems and encouraged residents to keep reporting, in as much detail as possible, any complaints they have. Any ongoing crime must be reported on 999. Now people should call 101 to report ASB by phone.

There is demand for more bike-shelters, better security lighting between Sankey and Rosebery House to stop anti-social gatherings in the area.

Chest Hospital site redevelopment by Circle Housing and Crest Nicholson.

By now around 1300 objections to the scheme are thought to have been made through various petitions and direct planning applications submissions.

Chair report 2015

2015 saw the estate undergoing the Decent Homes program. Thanks to chair  and  other helpers for giving their time generously; also to Councillors Amy Whitelock Gibbs and Sirajul Islam for continued support. The Tower Hamlets Project Team was very supportive.

Jackie Miller and her family, Ray, Raymond and Karen who ran the Centre for 20 years receive our thanks for keeping the Centre open and functioning. Jackie retired now.

It’s your life, a local charity, rented the ground floor. Some TRA officers stepped down ,  a Big Lunch was successfully hosted.

Toddler group reduced days to Monday and Thursday. Tuesday afternoon art class no longer operating, after school group moved to different premises, karate club increased hours to Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Boxing club increased to Monday, Wednesday, Friday. The gardening project successfully continued.
