Last night we saw several police cars pull up to disperse of some persons who congregated on a balcony where they didn’t reside in a secure door protected block in Sewardstone Road in Piggott House.
We are grateful that police came to arrests one of the perpetrators who was stopped from worrying residents in the block.
Often enough persons get into blocks, loiter around vulnerable residents’ doors, who then get broken into. That was a great act of crime prevention.
Also I strongly encourage residents to keep on reporting incidents of concerning behaviour; that often leads to police intelligence starting to gather information and later on to arrests, which might be crime related in other areas rather than just loitering.
The incident last night saw 2 police vans, several cars and even plain clothes officers at the scene. It might have been an intelligence lead arrest that occurred after a long time of observation.
