In the square that encompasses the back of Rosebery House and Sankey House, a problem occurred in that people met their with their cars, talking loudly and making lots of noise and that some residents would be out on their balcony late at night, with their friends, talking loudly and the noise travelling amplified around the square.
Many complaints later, the landlord decided on a rather clever move.
A few Sundays ago an elevator truck came around the back of the houses and replaced all the orange night-light bulbs with bright white ones. The area is now very light but it stops people from wanting to spend time their at night because it is just not cosy. The glaring lights deter people from wanting to spend time and being loud at the same time.
This was unfortunately necessary because repeated verbal and written requests to keep the noise down fell on deaf ears.
