Parkview Neighbourhood Watch event

Our Neighbourhood Watch sponsored community barbecue was a success. People enjoyed themselves, children were very well cared for by the Play Association of Tower Hamlets play workers and all enjoyed the barbecue and other yummy foods available on the day.

thanks to Alex Logan who did the grilling and Jackie for holding the raffle and Emma for being a great quiz master and also Martin who did a lot of the prep work with me. The only “complaint” received was that the barbecue was not ready on the dot at 11am.

Parkview Neighbourhood Watch, the winners of the best home-grown vegetable competitions

We had late entries for the competitions and there were a few for the logo, the logo entries received have to be referred to the Neighbourhood Watch management committee at the next full meeting.

There were 2 first prizes for vegetables entered, also very late in the day. I think it is amazing that such beautiful vegetables can be grown on an inner city estate. No entries were received for the best dressed vegetable. There were 3 winners for the 3 quizzes, which were great fun too.

The Morrisons key rings were very popular and so were the personal alarms and other advice material from the local SNT team. I would again like to thank our sponsors, Community Crime  Fighters, MPA, Morrisons, Tower Hamlets Homes, Khalsa for the support.
