This will be hosted by Tower Hamlets Homes (THH) and take place at the Toby Club, Vawdrey Close, London E1 4UA on Saturday, 21 November 2009 between 10:30 am and 4.00pm.
Bill Pitt MBE will be hosting this event and he is an acknowledged authority on tackling anti-social behaviour using the powers that the Anti-social behaviour Act of 2003 gives us.
This will accumulate residents to register for a resident led service group.
Unfortunately I am unable to attend this event on that Saturday but again like to emphasize that nationally such problems are dealt with by Neighbourhood Watches throughout the UK, who have very well established networks led by Neighbourhood Watch coordinators and those cannot be replaced by a Service Group alone.
Parkview Neighbourhood Watch is the only such group in Bethnal Green North and dedicated to solving Anti-social and crime problems in our area. We would encourage the further development of Neighbourhood Watches throughout Tower Hamlets so that problems are not confined to Tower Hamlets Homes residents alone because those improvement groups proposed by THH are relevant for THH residents only whilst Neighbourhood Watches are relevant to all within a geographical area and relate directly to the Home Office rather than Tower Hamlets Homes.
