As you may have noticed our Safer Neighbourhoods Ward Panel meetings for the Bethnal Green North area are becoming more popular and new members arrive at each meeting. That is good, so the message is spreading that the ward panel meeting is THE place to be.
The next 2 meetings in Bethnal Green North will be open forums and take place on
26 August at 7:30 pm in Mansfield House Community Room, Cambridge Heath Road, London E2
28 October at 7:30 pm in Sander Court, Nelson Gardens.
The idea is to take the meetings to the people, into your locality to make it easier for you to discuss and meet locally with like minded locals who wish to air problems they experience with law and order including anti-social behaviour.
As I understand the Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel in Bethnal Green North exists since 3 years and is going from strength to strength.
What emerged from tonight’s meeting is that the Policing Pledge is monitored so that if you ring the Safer Neighbourhood Phone number, which his 020 8721 2851 and get an answer machine because our team is not on duty then you will be contacted within 24 hours even if our own team cannot respond because they may be off duty for longer than 24 hours.
If you have access to the internet, and you must have or you could not read this posting, then it makes it easier to e-mail the safer neighbourhood team or go to the MET police website and leave a message online.
As you know we have a Neighbourhood Watch group on Parkview Estate and the next AGM is on 3 August 2009, at 7:30pm at the Glasshouse Community Centre. We’ll have coffee, tea, cake and biscuits for sale to raise funds for our good work.
I have raised several concerns with the police at tonight’s meeting and shall report back in detail on 3 August, please come plentiful.
